As long as there have been sailors at sea, there have been sea chanteys, or work songs which are traditionally sung on board ships to keep sailors working together as a team.
Our chantey singers carry on this tradition on board the Schooner Quinnipiack. They are some of the finest entertainers that Connecticut has to offer.
What goes better with a sea chantey on a tall ship than a pint of Jeff Browning's finest ale from the Bru Room @ Bar. Sample his latest brew as our musician entertains you.
Some of the sites you'll see during the sail include:
- Historical Fort Nathan Hale - this fort played a role in the American Revolution, the War of 1812 and the Civil War, and was the first site in New Haven to be recognized as a Landmark and Historic site.
- Picturesque Lighthouse Point - the lighthouse is also known as the Five Mile Point Light as it sits on a point of land five miles from the center of New Haven.
- An incredible view of Long Island Sound - the Sound features a diversity of plant and animal life and was designated a National Estuary in 1987.
Join us for a night of great entertainment.
This trip is for adults only. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted to board. |
